Vintage Sports Car Club/Historic Cadwell or the Flying Scotsman Rally?

If you like your motor sport to reflect the period when it was dangerous and sex wasn't, you may like to get along to Silverstone this coming weekend for the Vintage Sports Car Club's Spring Start meeting.

Judging by the weather forecast they may have chosen an appropriate name for this one.  The details can be found on the VSCC website which sports a swoopy new design.  Of note is the George Abecassis Centenary race for 50s sports cars promoted by FISCAR who's equally swoopy website can be found here.

Vintage/pre war cars are also to be seen setting out from John O'Groats Hertfordshire on the 2013 version of the Flying Scotsman Rally with an entry comprising 106 rather delectable old competition cars.

But if your taste is more for the 50s through to the 80s then perhaps a trip to the UK's version of the Nurburgring, is more to your liking?  The HSCC has a large entry for the Wolds Trophy meeting at Cadwell Park on Saturday and Sunday.

So whether you like your racing cars pre war to old, or old to classic and your tracks flat or lumpy, you have a good choice this weekend.  Enjoy.
