Coventry MotoFest 1 June 2014

Not exactly motor sport historic or otherwise but, bear with me, this is possibly the start of the revolution to bring regular motorsport to the roads.  The idea is for a gathering of classic and racing cars to be taken around the ring road on the first of July as part of a bigger weekend car show.  Information about the event can be found here whilst the Beeb has a bit more info.

The more serious reason behind this event is to support the legislation that is currently being presented to Parliament to allow motorsport on Britain's roads.

The Rover will be there to try out the road course and also to run-in the repaired gearbox seal that provided so much smoke and entertainment at Goodwood.  Hopefully the weather will be sunny and it'll all be a bit of fun.
