31 May 2012

A busy month.

The month of May closed with what sounds like an excellent Masters race meeting at Brands Hatch on the GP circuit and June opens almost where May left off, with the Aston Martin Owner's Club, St John Horsfall meeting on the Indy Circuit on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Holiday Monday & Tuesday.

Monday 4th June will feature the AMOC Intermarque Championship Race, AMOC '50s Sports Cars, "Equipe"GTS, the AMOC Pre-War Team Challenge and the St John Horsfall Race, together with races from the Ferrari Owners Club and the Historic V8 Racing Association.

The races featuring on Tuesday 5th June include the AMR GT4 Challenge of Great Britain with an Invitation Race for Lightweight and V8 Astons, Formula Junior, the Sports Racing & GT Challenge and races for the FOC, HVRA and "Equipe"GTS.

Prior to that on the 2nd and 3rd June the Indy circuit hosts the CTCRC with its touring cars and the big bangers in Classic Thunder.

Once the dust settles there's little respite before heading to Snetterton for the HSCC Autosport 3hrs meeting on 9th/10th June.  This event includes the Guards Trophy 3hrs race on the Saturday but all of the HSCC categories are out to play here.

The following weekend sees the CSCC and the HRDC clubs heading over to Spa Francorchamps for the traditional Summer Classic, then it's either off down to Dijon for the Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or; Trophées Historiques de Bourgogne 2012, or to the Silverstone Arena Circuit for the MG Car Club annual international festival known as MG Live, where a two day race programme for MGs, Sportscars, Touring Cars and more modern saloons , not to mention the register gatherings for all the models from pre war to early 90s will provide the entertainment.

So, a busy month looms for classic and historic racers, where will you be?
