This weekend sees the opening meetings for two of the leading Historic organisers in the UK. On Saturday Master Racing Series takes over Oulton Park, with the Masters 70's Celebration, Pre 66 Touring Cars, World Sportscar Masters and Gentlemen Drivers races. The timetable is here. Anyone with a passion for historic GTs, or big banger sports cars would do well to get along to this one.
At Donington Park the HSCC opens its season with a two day programme of 13 races. Something for everyone here with single seaters ranging from Formula Junior to F5000. There's also the regular By Box Saloons and two versions of the Guards Trophy. One with the usual GTs and another with Sports Prototypes. We will be running the MGB in its first event since finishing at Spa last year in the Guards Trophy for GTs. If it rains (as forecast) it could be quite interesting. Timetable is here.
