MG Car Club incentivises racers

I received the following e mail from Steve Carr, Comps Sec for the MG Car Club.  Seems like good news for club racers, of course there are caveats but if you have a suitable car and you want to enter, then I suggest you get that computer fired up!

"Dear Peter,
                                                  Fantastic News!
The Race Committee has been considering ways of rewarding those drivers who compete in all the MGCC races in their chosen championship or series.

For 2012 it has been decided to give every entrant/driver who fulfils these criteria a 5% refund of their entry fees for those races. This will be deducted from the entry fee for the last applicable race in the season.

For administration purposes the refund will be automatic for those who have entered using the Club’s seasonal entry forms. Those who enter on a race by race basis will be required to apply when submitting their final entry.

ADDITIONALLY
to add a little extra spice, there will be a draw held at Snetterton in October, when every driver eligible for a rebate will have their name entered into a draw for a £500 contribution towards their race entries in 2013 with the MGCC.

SMALL PRINT
  1. Cars that are double driven at any part of the season but have one driver who competes in all the rounds will be eligible for the rebate on the single driver fee only.
  2. The rebate and draw prize is not transferable, neither is it payable in cash. It will only be made to the entrant/driver of each eligible car.
  3. The rebate applies to entry fees paid to the MGCC for races at their meetings. “Away rounds” do not count towards the scheme and it is not a requirement to enter these.
  4. The Club reserves the right to modify or abandon the scheme should exceptional circumstances prevail which are outside their control."
